Copycat Chick-fil-A Peach Milkshake

When it comes to milkshake recipes, many people go straight for total decadence.

Personally, I go weak in the knees for an Oreo milkshake with extra chocolate sauce and whipped cream!

And there’s nothing wrong with that.

But if you want something fruity and light, this peach milkshake is where it’s at.

It’s a Chick-fil-A copycat recipe featuring ripe peaches, dreamy ice cream, and a splash of milk.

Ready in minutes, it’s just the right blend of rich, creamy, and fruity,

Feel free to top it with whipped cream. And I think it’s extra yummy with a pinch of cinnamon on top, too!

Ingredients

As promised, this is a simple three ingredient recipe.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Peaches. Fresh peaches have a natural sweetness that livens up the milkshake. But frozen peaches or canned peaches work well, too.
  • Ice cream. Select a high-quality vanilla ice cream for the base. I like Edy’s, but whatever brand you prefer will be fine.
  • Milk. Stick to whole milk for the best and richest flavor. Also, don’t be afraid to adjust the amount of milk to get the shake’s texture just right.

How to Make a Peach Milkshake

Making a copycat Chick-fil-A milkshake is as easy as pie. It’s as easy as 1-2-3!

1. Prepare the peaches. Peel and chop fresh fruit. Or drain and chop canned peaches. Frozen fruit can go right into the blender.

2. Blend. Add the milk, peaches, and ice cream to the blender. Pulse a few times, then blend until the mixture is smooth and reaches your desired thickness and consistency.

3. Garnish and serve. Divide the milkshake into two glasses. Then, top them with whipped cream and any other desired garnishes. Enjoy!

Fresh vs. Canned vs. Frozen Peaches

So, which is best?

  • Fresh is best for flavor and texture. And if you leave a strip of skin on the fruit, you get lovely red flecks in the glass.
  • Canned is an excellent second choice. The fruit is canned when they’re ripe, which means they’re super peachy! Plus, canned fruit blends like fresh fruit, so you don’t have to modify the recipe too much.
  • Frozen is a great last choice. It has a slightly muted taste, and it changes the overall texture of the shake. If you have to use frozen, I recommend using half the amount of ice cream and adding a splash of simple syrup to boost the fruity flavor.

Recipe Tips and Variations

Recipes this simple rarely need tips, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have a few anyway.

I’ve also included some variations you can try:

  • Let the ice cream thaw slightly. It’ll make it easier to blend.
  • Add milk as needed. This recipe calls for 1/2 cup of milk. But you may need more or less depending on how firm the ice cream is.
  • Don’t toss out overripe peaches. Like overripe bananas, overripe peaches are the sweetest and most flavorful. That’ll make your shake even better!
  • Try grilling them first. Grilling peaches just to put them in a milkshake? Sounds crazy, right? Trust me, though. It adds a whole other depth of flavor you will absolutely love.
  • Experiment with add-ins. Toss in a handful of your favorite berries for fruitier flavor. Or crumble up some Oreos or your other favorite cookies for a sweeter finish. Caramel or chocolate sauces are also nice touches.
  • Don’t forget your garnishes. Whipped cream isn’t your only option. Try a dash of cinnamon and some crushed cookies. It’ll taste like a sweet peach cobbler!

This copycat Chick-fil-A peach milkshake recipe is one of the peachiest treats ever. Made with just three ingredients, it’s quick, sweet, and oh-so-fruity.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream, about 4 scoops

  • 2 1/2 cups sliced peaches, about 3 large peaches

  • 1/2 cup whole milk

  • whipped cream, for serving

Instructions

  • Peel fresh peaches and discard the stone. Or drain canned peaches, if using. Then, roughly chop the fruit for easy blending.
  • Add the milk to the blender, followed by the ice cream and peaches. Pulse a couple of times to break up the fruit, then blend until smooth. If needed, add more milk to adjust the texture (frozen fruit will yield thicker results than fresh or canned peaches).
  • Pour the peach milkshake into 2 glasses. Top with whipped cream and enjoy!

Notes

  • If using frozen fruit, add 1 cup of canned peaches or a splash of simple syrup to boost the flavor and sweetness. Blend them at the end when the milkshake ingredients are thick and smooth.
  • Add a pinch of cinnamon to the shake for a hint of warmth.
